Virtual reality to change with this new inovation

This new technology called virtual reality has really transformed the world of gaming to another completely different level this technology completely envelops a person into a computer generated virtual world that you can ever imagine of, like taking a deep dive with the whales in the deep waters or taking you to space but unfortunately this technology does not provide high quality image as compared to other gaming platforms like Xbox or PlayStation console like some of the light coming from objects may not look real or it might portray a wrong glass reflection.

Now to deal with these unrealities, a new technology called foveated rendering and display since it focusses on a part of an eye called fovea where the focus is most concentrated, hence inspiring a technology innovation that uses sensors to determine where you will be focusing on hence communicating with the computer to focus on the areas that seem interesting and less focuses on area that seem less interesting parts of the game, the secondary aim of this innovation is to cut down on power consumption and computer workload and also discourages upgrade to more powerful VR chips that can actually cost you.

This technology works in such a way that, the human gaze is quite limited to 55 degrees according to  National Institutes of Health but VR headsets boost these to 110 degrees when you want to see something that is beside you without moving you virtual body this is where foveated rendering comes in, this technology tracks where you 55 degree gaze is focusing on all the times and focusses all the quality of the computer towards that point only hence cutting off quality from the rest of the views

This technology means that the next gen VR entries like Samsung's $129 Gear VR or Google's $99 Daydream View headsets, won't seem quite so underpowered. They might not fall behind techwise as fast, either.

Henrik Eskilsson, the CEO of Tobii, a company that is trying to integrate eye-tracking sensor tech to Dell and Acer laptops, declared that the company can create an experience that is compelling and takes the industry to a whole new level

Some companies like Oculus Go all-in-one headset from Facebook’s Oculus VR division have already started embracing this new foveated technology
