New Zealand is facing a severe Avocado shortage hence the citizens are taking desperate measures to acquire this coveted treat for breakfast. The fruit is now estimated to be sold at $3.30 per avocado showing a 37% increase over the previous year.
This
is caused due to the low harvest of the fruit during the past two years soaring
the fruit price to the skies hence encouraging orchard theft since two robbers
were earlier caught fleeing with avocado worth $4,300 and brewing black markets
to distribute the spoils.
Due
to this crime wave, orchard owners have now taken matters in their own hands.
